Sock Drawer Goals

Sock Drawer Goals

A little round up of my sock drawer goals for my handmade sock collection. Because. Well, socks.

Because. Well, socks! #KnitMoreSock #SockKnitter Click To Tweet

Pre-me knitting socks i’ve always been a sock addict. I love buying quirky patterned socks from Primark or TopShop. If I haven’t brought you socks then obvs you are not part of my day one crew. Sock gifting is how I show my love. Socks cheer me up. Socks are bae.

Socks, Socks, Socks!

I want socks for every occasion. Seriously. Birthday socks. Christmas Eve socks. Church Socks. Christmas socks. Boxing Day socks. New Year socks.  And for every use.  Reading socks. Straight out the bath socks. Sleep socks. Slipper socks. Boot socks. Dog walking socks. Socks, socks, socks!

Sock envy right?

More sock porn can be found on my Pinterest board. Yahhh welcome.

Above all my sock goals is the want to have stacks and stacks of socks like these to choose from each morning. I am equal parts envious and inspired by #OperationSockDrawer posts on Instagram. I want to take part! So to get stacks means more sock yarn is needed…

HGDC Sock Box

I have so many sock construction goals too. Fish Kiss Lips Heels. Cuff down TAAT.  Gobstopper balls. Self striping yarns. Afterthought heels. Sock receipes. Sparkle bases. Colour work. Knee highs. And don’t even get me started on the accessories. Immerse me!

This all got me to thinking. Imagine one little box which provides monthly forays into the wide world of socks. To new yarn, new dyers, magical colour ways, and gives tiny pushes to improve sock skills all thrown in with complimentary goodies (- stitch markers and soap and sock blockers!) all in one easy accessible and affordable place The HGDC Sock Box was born.

I first blogged about the HGDC Sock Box launch here.

Each month I hope to explore the sock world just that little bit more through my boxes. So much potential. This month’s theme is MERMAIDS.

I hope you will join me on this journey.

This months box RRPs at £35.59 + postage (on each individual item totalling £13.25) which means you make big savings to spend on a new Ravelry pattern, or to put towards next months box or just simply more sock for your buck. But hello, some items are exclusive to HGDC Sock Box anyways. Even better, the more boxes purchased the bigger the discounts for everyone and the more I can cram into them. BONUS.

October’s box has 120g of exclusive mermaid inspired hand dyed yarn, thats a full 100g skein and a mini skein too, a mermaid stitch marker, the club exclusive marker (HGDC Tribe) plus mermaid themed goodies all gift. Thats 6+ yarn related goodies wrapped and delivered to you in a little parcel stuffed full of surprise.

You can purchase your own box here
