♡ ABOUT: Promise is a dress made entirely of iconic granny squares. Style it with converse and a denim jacket, or heels and a set of eyelashes. Wear it in whatever colour combination you please and share that granny square goodness! Instructions are provided to adjust the length of the dress.

Promise was named after a difficult life event, you have to go through the process to get to the promise.

Both UK and US terminology is included with clear and detailed instructions.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited and tested.

♡ SIZES: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

Chest circumference 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46, 48-50, 52-54,56-58, 60-62) inches or 71-76 (81-86, 91.5-96.5, 101.5-106.5, 111.5-117, 122-127, 132-137, 142-147, 152-158) cm

♡ SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner (As long as you can make a granny square you can make this pattern).

♡ YARN: uses acrylic double knit yarn (calculated from 100g/300m skein)

MAIN COLOUR – 325 (325, 403, 429, 513, 580, 609, 742, 774, 801) grams off double knit acrylic

975 (975, 1209, 1287, 1539, 1740, 1827, 2226, 2322) meters / 1066 (1066, 1322, 1407, 1683, 1998, 2435, 1998, 2435, 2540)

GRANNY SQUARES –

336 (390, 417, 444, 531, 600, 630, 768, 801) grams of double knit acrylic yarn

1008 (1170, 1251, 1332, 1593, 1800, 1890, 2304, 2403) meters / 1102 (1279, 1368, 1457, 1742, 1969, 2067, 2520, 2628) yards

Promise dress

This was my first pattern by Heather, but it won’t be my last!
I love that there are options for customisation, in terms of sleeves and dress length, so you can really make the dress your own!
Heather has also taught me the continuous join as you go method (check out her YouTube) which means there’s much less seam sewing to finish up.
I’ve fallen in love with granny squares, thanks to Heather!

Promise

I throughly enjoyed making Promise and.......I am making another one. I find this pattern very versatile. I can change the length of the sleeves or the length of the dress itself. I can make the squares in random colors or have all the squares match. My first Promise dress was in brighter colors. The second one that I am making is in more neutral colours. It makes my heart happy knowing I can take a bunch of yarn and turn it into something beautiful to wear. I almost forgot to say that the continuous join as you go (CJAYG) method makes life so much easier. Thank you Heather!
